My curiosity for drinks that belong to particular corners of France, be it an aperitif, digestif, liqueur or wine, means I’m always bringing home little bottles of random drinks from my trips. This can often make for a very heavy suitcase, which is fine when driving and going by ferry, but if I’m flying or taking the train, it can be tricky! This means I’m always on the look out for where you can buy such interesting drinks in the UK and have them delivered.

Here is the A-Z of ‘bonnes adresses’, which I will continue to update as I come across them.

Master of Malt: The warehouse of Master of Malt must be an amazing place; their array of incredible, delectable, delicious and divine French products is mind-boggling. We got through Lockdown 1 thanks to their array of French gins, and thanks to my article on pastis for Nat Geo Traveller Food, I am now very familiar with their range of pastis. Check them out: https://www.masterofmalt.com/

Sip or Mix importers: I found Jenny Gardener’s company when I was writing about pastis, but she also specialises in rum and absinthe (my other favourite subject). She imports the delicious Pastis Combier from the Loire Valley.  Their site is here: https://sipormix.co.uk/

Yapp Brothers: Based in Wiltshire, they have a great selection of wines from the Rhone Valley, Loire and Provence, but they also stock pastis, pineau de Charentes and liqueurs from Gabriel Boudier. Check out their website here: www.yapp.co.uk.
